Lauren A. Meinhardt, an associate attorney at Nachshin & Langlois, LLP, is involved in a variety of practice areas of family law, including: dissolutions of marriage and paternity actions; child custody and support; spousal support; property valuation and division of property; and domestic violence restraining orders.

Ms. Meinhardt is known for helping those she counsels during tumultuous and troubling times, to sort through his or her most pressing issues in a sensible way and to come to resolutions that reflect sound and positive decisions.
Ms. Meinhardt joined Nachshin & Langlois as a law clerk in 2006, gaining knowledge of intricate family law matters, especially those involving celebrities and high net worth individuals—the mainstay of the firm's clientele. In her capacity as a law clerk, Ms. Meinhardt worked on various family law matters, including legal drafting, discovery and law and motion work. She also prepared support calculations, evidentiary objections and assisted in numerous tasks of trial preparations.
Ms. Meinhardt began her family law legal career as a judicial extern for The Honorable Roy L. Paul of the Los Angeles County Superior Court. As a judicial extern, Lauren made recommendations on rulings relative to hundreds of case files, in particular, those bearing complex fact situations that dealt with diverse areas of the law. While tending to her duties in this capacity, Ms. Meinhardt dissected hundreds of orders to show cause, supporting and responsive declarations, exhibits, transcripts, prior court rulings, and dozens of child custody evaluations. She also compiled years of case history to formulate concise and thorough briefs on the issues at hand and their relevance to applicable law. During law school, Ms. Meinhardt also gained significant family law experience as a law clerk at the family law firm of Armando J. Paz in Los Angeles.
Ms. Meinhardt graduated with honors from University of California at Los Angeles in 2002 with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies and Anthropology where she remained on the Dean's list for four years. She received her Juris Doctorate in 2006 from Loyola Law School in Los Angeles.
Ms. Meinhardt is licensed by the State Bar of California and was admitted to the United States District Court in June, 2007. She is a member of the American Bar, Los Angeles County Bar and the Beverly Hills Bar Associations. A California Certified Mediator, Ms. Meinhardt is also fluent in Spanish.
Her philanthropic endeavors are many. She currently offers her time and services to such organizations as Break the Cycle, the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program and the National Adoption Day for the Alliance for Children's Rights. In the past, Ms. Meinhardt also donated her time to the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric Aids Foundation.
