
Goldie Schon, an attorney at Nachshin & Langlois LLP, who has been handling all aspects of family law since 1994, has been named a Superlawyer "Rising Star” as one of the fledgling outstanding southern California lawyers for 2008 by Law & Politics. This marks her third year on L.A. Magazine’s prestigious list; she also was named a Superlawyer "Rising Star" in 2006 and 2007.

Schon, a graduate of California State University at Northridge earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Speech Communication in 1994, and received her juris doctor in 1997 from the University of La Verne. Schon is licensed by the State Bar of California and was admitted to the United States District Court, Central District of California in June, 1999.
During law school, Schon was a dedicated volunteer at the Van Nuys Superior Court, Domestic Violence Clinic, where she drafted pleadings in request for Restraining Orders for self-represented litigants. Soon after Schon was admitted to the State Bar of California, she continued her pro bono work and was named supervising attorney at the Domestic Violence Clinic. In addition to her service at the Domestic Violence Clinic, Schon also offered her services as a volunteer at the Los Angeles Superior Court, Central District, as a family law mediator, working two courtrooms where she assisted the court by helping self-represented litigants resolve child custody, child and spousal support and property division issues. She also prepared legal documents for the self-represented litigants such as stipulations and judgments to help bring closure to their cases.
